Salmon Sashimi Popsicle with an Avocado Cream

This is a fun salmon appetizer/starter served on a popsicle with a avocado cream to dip it in

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of Sashimi salmon approximately 2 cm thick
  • 4 Popsicles
  • 1 Avocado peeled and pitted
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1-1 1/2 tbsp Ponzu (or tamari, rice vinegar, mirini, lime and lemon juice)
  • 1 tsp Furikake (can be replaced by sesame seeds)

Instructions

  • Mash the avoado and combine with lime juice.
  • Taste and season with salt and pepper accoring to taste.
  • Cut the salmon into 2 cm thick slices.
  • Cut a small whole at the bottom of the salmon and insert a popsicle.
  • Put the avocado cream on a plate.
  • Drizzle some ponzu (or tamari & lemon juice blend) on top of the avocado cream.
  • Add the salmon popsicles on top and sprinkle with furikake seasoning.
