Quick Apple Cardamom Breakfast Buns (Gluten, Nut, Butter & Oil Free)

These easy, quick and cozy breakfast buns are perfect to make for a weekend breakfast or brunch. They literally take 5-10 minutes to throw together and taste amazing.

Ingredients

For the breakfast buns

  • 2 Eggs whisked
  • 2 (1) dl (cup) Yogurt or filmjölk
  • 4 (1 2/3) dl (cups) Rolled oats
  • 1/2 (1/5) dl (cups) Flaxeeds
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom freshly ground
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder

To top

  • Cardamom (optional) freshly ground
  • Rolled oats (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 185 degrees Celsius or your oven to 200 degrees Celcius.
  • Whisk together eggs and yogurt in a bowl.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.
  • Form 6-8 equally sized buns and place on parchment paper.
  • Top with freshly ground cardamom and/or rolled oats.
  • Bake in the air fryer for 15-17 minutes or in the oven for 20-25 minutes.
  • Remove from the air fryer/oven and let them cool for 10 minutes.
