Oatmeal Waffles Two Ways (Gluten & Sugar Free)

Ingredients

For the wafers

  • 1 1/2 dl Apple porridge blend
  • 1 1/2 dl Cardamom & seed porridge blend
  • 6 dl Water
  • Pinch of Salt (optional)

For the topping

  • 1 dl Greek yogurt, quark or whipped cream
  • 1 Apple diced
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp Blueberries
  • 1-2 tbsp Chocolate granola
  • 1-2 tbsp Cardamom & seed porridge blend

Instructions

  • Place the porridge blends (see note for alternatives to the porridge blends) in two separate bowls and add three dl of water to each of them. Add a pinch of salt (optional).
  • Bring to a boil and then lower and let it shimmer for about five minutes, or until it has thickened.
  • Meanwhile turn on your waffle machine.
  • When the porridges are done grease the waffle machine with coconut oil.
  • Add the porridge blend to the waffle machine (one at a time or in two separate if having a double waffle machine) and let them bake until golden brown and crispy.
  • Meanwhile preheat a nonstick pan over medium heat with some coconut oil.
  • Add the diced apples and cinnamon to pan and fry until the apples are golden brown.
  • When the waffle are done top the apple porridge waffle with Greek yogurt/quark/whipped cream, fried apples and some cardamom and seed porridge blend.
  • Top the cardamom & seed waffles with Greek yogurt/quarck/whipped cream, blueberries and chocolate granola.
  • Serve immediately while warm.
