This recipe is for crispy Crispy Oven Roasted Chickpeas. You only need one main ingredients and two minutes to prepare it, the rest is taken care of by the oven. Top you salad, food or breakfast bowl with these chickpeas, or eat them as a snack just as they are. They are both vegan and gluten free and can be made oil free as well.

These chickpeas are delicious, crunchy and nutritious! You only need to drain them, drizzle with olive oil and preferred seasoning if desired, and put them in the oven and then they’re done. I love making these chickpeas. They are so convenient to have at home when you want something healthy to snack on, if you want to add something crunchy in your salad or food or top your breakfast bowl wit them.

These are made plain with no seasoning, but you can just add any spices you like when making them. Some of my favorite seasonings are:

Ingredients

  • 1 can Chickpeas drained and rinsed
  • Olive oil (optional)

Additional seasoning (optional)

  • Cinnamon
  • Paprika powder
  • Salt
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Fresh herbs mixed with a little bit of olive oil
  • Curry
  • Ground cilantro
  • Cumin
  • Honey or syrup

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
  • If using any seasoning covered the chickpeas with it.
  • Spread the drained chickpeas evenly on a parchment covered baking sheet.
  • Bake in the oven for 45-60 minutes, or until crunchy. Dont have them in for too long, since they will only get dry and taste like paper. They should only get crunch, to taste one to check if they're done.
