This recipe is for delicious, healthy and sweet Cherry Chocolate Crumble Bars. These bars only take 30 minutes to make and requires a few key ingredients. They are healthy enough to serve for breakfast or afternoon snack but also delicious enough to have for dessert. They are both vegan, gluten and sugar free.

There are few combination that I love as much as chocolate and cherries. I know lot of people like a strawberry and chocolate combination, but for me cherries and chocolate is the ultimate combination. It’s such a wonderful combination of sweet yet a bit tart cherries together with the rich and a little bitter chocolate taste. It just melts together making a wonderful symphony. These chocolate cherry crumble bars are rich and flavorful, yet still light and not too heavy since I replaced a lot of the coconut oil with apple sauce. These bars are healthy enough to serve for breakfast or an afternoon snack, but still delicious and sweet enough to have for dessert. They are both vegan, gluten and sugar free.
A few tips:
- Try to find sweet cherries that are not too tart.
- I used apple sauce to make these bars healthier, but you can use more coconut oil if you prefer it.
- Make sure to press the cherries down a little into the bar texture to make them hold together and not fall apart when you eat them.
- These bars are good to store for 4-5 days.
