Pumpkins, so useful in both sweet and savory dishes and recipes. They’re so versatile and can be used in both salads, soups, making roasted stuffed pumpkins, but they’re also great to use in desserts and baking. One of my favorite and easy ways of using pumpkin is in these quick pumpkin bliss balls. You only need six easy ingredients and 10 minutes to make them. Not only are these pumpkin bliss balls super tasty and scrumptious, they’re also so cute and pretty to look at. I can guarantee that they will be appreciated by both kids and adults. These pumpkin bliss balls can be made plain or covered in a sugar cinnamon blend to make them snickerdoodle flavored. Top with chocolate chips or with stems from apples or pears. These pumpkin bliss balls are vegan, gluten and sugar free.
A few tips:
- You can cook your own pumpkin purée or use a store bought one. If making your own make sure to prepare it in advance for it to cool completely before making the bliss balls.
- I used almond butter in my pumpkin snickerdoodle bliss balls, but you can use any nut or seeds butter of your liking.
- If you don’t have pumpkin spice you can use a mix of 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger, all spice, cloves and nutmeg instead. If you don’t have all of these spices at home use the ones you have.
- Rolling the bliss balls in cinnamon and sugar is optional but that’s what makes them snickerdoodle flavored. I like to make half snickerdoodle and half plain.
- You can make these bliss balls pumpkin formed or just roll them into round balls.
- I use a small spoon to carve edges to resemble pumpkins.
- Top with chocolate chips, stems from apples/pear (but make sure not to eat the stems) or skip the topping.
- Store these bliss balls in the fridge.
